If possible, I would rather sit and drink coffee all day instead of going to work tonight.

I mean, really. It's a lot colder outside than it looks and I really don't like closing anymore. Plus I was off yesterday and I have the weekend off, so the urge to not go in tonight is certainly there. (Also, I really don't want to shave. I wonder if I can get away with having the MANLY SCRUFF tonight.) I'm currently missing a meeting, since it's scheduled while I'm not there. I'd like to point out that I am not upset about this, since meetings are usually just large bitchfests anyway.

In other news, I really want the Marshmallow Gun that is on w00t! today. Not for me of course, it's for, um, ZKAT.

Speaking of things for ZKAT, how freaking awesome is this Playmobil set? I mean, it has an EXPLODING! VOLCANO! for Bob's sake.

And she knows what a volcano is! Our little girl is the smartest and cutest little girl around.

Finally, a big birthday shoutout to the 21st Amendment! Hopefully we won't try to amend the Constitution to take away freedoms anymore. :)

Wildflowers is still my #1 choice for Desert Island Album, FYI.

I really, really, really want to see 3:10 to Yuma. Period.

Fair warning, I figured out how to automatically cross-post this directly to the Notes section on Facebook, so some of you may see this a few times, heh. Sorry. Same with the pictures, jokes, and anecdotes... you spend enough time around me, you get a lot of repeats. Right, Justin? Amanda?
So I went up and saw MEGA TODDLER ZKAT over the weekend. I've got pictures all over the place. Of course, the memory card that I loaded with both camera pics and phone pics wasn't recognized by the stupid picture machine at work, but what else is new?
Speaking of work, they're opening another new store in just about three weeks. My old boss wants me to go and help set up their entertainment department, not unlike how we did with the Vestal store last May. On one hand, I'd like to go to see the few coworkers that did end up transferring there, but on the other hand, it's a fairly busy week for me as it is. I've got nine straight days of work, so anything that I did at the new store would basically be on top of that, for six hours at a time after the time that I went to lunch at my store. Plus, as I've mentioned on numerous occasions, I don't particularly care for the old boss in a boss regard, haha. I may or may not end up doing it; I told them that I would discuss it tomorrow, when I'm actually working.
The new vehicle is still awesome. I got a chance to really break it in this weekend when I went up north. Better gas mileage than what I expected: 27mpg on the highway, with cruise control and some AC. Looks like I can expect around 400 miles per tank, which is better all-around than the Mustang was. I was a bit worried about the mileage, since it is a much larger vehicle than what I'm used to, with an automatic transmission to boot. However, it is only a 4-cylinder, which is probably the major saving grace there.
I'm just about to finish Golden Compass (couple chapters left, I just am being lazy on this, my day off), which I wanted to read before the movie came out and have done so. Hooray! Great book, can't wait to get right into the rest of the series. I'd also really, really like an armored bear, a fact that I'm sure that you are very aware of. I also have to finish one of the Heroes discs and send it back to Netflix so I can be caught up there too. (Yeah yeah, I know, the new season started last night. I'll figure it out somehow, haha.)
TJ out.

Days off FTMFW!

So I totally just fibbed to work. They tried calling me in at 7:00AM this morning. (Mike and Brian both called out, no doubt.) I ignored the phone, rolled over, and went back to bed. I called back about three hours later and said that I had just gotten up (partial fib) and that I had stuff going on and could not come in (total fib, all I have planned today is to lay in the sun, which I guess is not really a fib then). So now I have coffee, a bagel, and I'm cranking Swagger. Word.

Besides, a lot of my coworkers have been all angsty-pants lately because of the new stores, promotions, and transfers; and I'm sick of hearing about it. I'm not leaving simply because the other two new stores are too far to drive, especially in winter. There's a slight hope that when everyone else leaves, I can take one of their jobs, but this is me not holding my breath. In related news, it was annual review time again- mine turned out pretty decent. There are basically five levels of superiority, haha, I'm a four. In real people terms, this means I get a pay raise and I now make more than I did at Arby's, which is pretty excellent, all things considered. More real people terms put promotions as follows: getting bumped up to a specialist nets a $1/hour, team lead is $2/hour. The guaranteed hours are the nice part about those positions, especially in first quarter and early fall.

Spent most of last night figuring out Facebook, which I'm still pretty much a dunce at, but at least I know how to find/add people now, haha. Woke up this morning to find yet another Myspace friend request for my HS reunion, so I vented about that for while (again) and now I feel better. Rest assured, with less than two months until the reunion date, they'll try to add me a good two or three more times. Block them, you say? Why? Then I wouldn't be able to get all pissy about it. :D

(This damned phone needs to stop fucking ringing.)

So, about two weeks ago, I bought a couple starter packs of the Pirates of the Spanish Main game to test it out (and because it has cool little miniature pirate ships!). My brother and I got a kick out of it, so now he's been adding to our fleet.See? It's pretty much an armada at this point, especially considering that his birthday is this weekend and he's getting another haul of ships equal to that from our folks. Cardboard booty does not stand a chance! (Plus now we'll have a metric assload of TINY DICE, which is always excellent.)

Three days until HOORAY FOR DINOSAURS DAY!
